Alleyway, Orta San Guilio.
One of those moments strolling through the streets of a tiny lakeside village in Italy. Lago d’ Orta is one of the smaller, lesser know “finger lakes” of northern Italy, and therefore one of the most quiet and lovely. Something about stone and architectural lines is appealing, and abundant in Italy.
This one is from a series of architectural shots from Northern Italy, printed as Gum Oil prints, where a combination of gum bichromate and fine oil paints are used to create a matrix from which the image appears after rinsing and scrubbing!
